Dear friends and subscribers,
Several years ago, when I was still in secondary school, I had a habit.
I’d invite people to my house to teach them Mathematics, Chemistry, and other science subjects... freely. No payment. No expectations.
Even during lunch breaks at school, there was a guy who would always come to me, and I’d teach him too.
This continued for months actually.
It got to the point where I was teaching people for free even after graduation.
But something strange kept happening.
These same people, whenever they had something to offer would charge for it.
Because that’s what was expected.
But when it came to me?
People assumed that since I was offering knowledge, I was supposed to keep giving it away for free.
Because it was the “nice” thing to do.
And it wasn't until I was invited to start teaching at a tutorial before I finally got paid for the knowledge I had.
I call bullcrap!
Why am I saying this?
Because I’m slowly seeing the same trap forming again... this time with Finance Simplified.
It’s taken me years of study, effort, and trial to understand the concepts I share. These insights didn’t come cheap. They were earned.
And putting it all out for free...week after week doesn’t pay my bills.
Worse still, it limits how deep I can go.
My wish has always been to create comprehensive deep dives on the topics that matter most:
Investments
Emergency Funds
Behavioral Finance
Annuities
And much more
But email is restrictive.
Some of these deep dives deserve 15 to 20 pages, not a cramped inbox summary.
So here’s what’s changing:
Moving forward, I’m freeing myself from these limits.
I’ll be writing those deep, valuable pieces and they’ll be available to you at a price.
Not because I’m less generous.
But because it’s time to treat what I create as what it truly is: valuable work.
In place of the weekly deep dive emails, you’ll now receive daily emails from me.
Short. Insightful. Focused.
Each one designed to help you think differently, and act better with your money.
This shift will begin rolling out in the next two to three months as I complete my undergrad studies.
And till then, you’ll continue to enjoy weekly doses of finance, straight from me.
To making good financial decisions,
Adedoyin
